No outside food or beverage is permitted at the Dayton Convention Center.
There is NO smoking or vaping inside the building or within 25 ft of the exterior of the building. Smoking includes the use of cigars, cigarettes, pipes, vape pens and vapor cigarettes.
Lost and found is located at the DCC Security desk on Level 1, near Jr. Ballroom and Exhibit Hall A pre-function space.
The Dayton Convention Center is located at 22 E. 5th Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402, spanning one city block between Jefferson Street and Main Street.
Parking is available in the Oregon District Garage, which is one block East of the Dayton Convention Center at the intersection of Fifth Street and Jefferson Street. The Oregon District Garage offers a covered skywalk on Level 1 that will bring you to the 3rd floor of the Dayton Convention Center facility.
PLEASE NOTE: The Oregon District Parking Garage is owned and operated by the City of Dayton. The Dayton Convention Center is not responsible for any entry/exit, maintenance, rates, or ticket issues.
The Dayton Convention Center is a cashless facility. We accept all major credit cards and Apple pay.

The Dayton Convention Center is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all guests, exhibitors, staff, and partners. By entering the facility or participating in any event hosted here, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
Respectful Behavior
All guests must treat others with courtesy and respect. The following behaviors are not permitted:
- Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
- Abusive, threatening, or disruptive language or actions
- Unwanted physical contact or attention
Safety & Security
To maintain a secure environment:
- Follow all instructions from Dayton Convention Center staff and security personnel
- Do not block exits, walkways, or emergency access areas
- Report unsafe conditions or suspicious activity immediately
- Weapons, illegal substances, and hazardous materials are prohibited
Facility Use
Help us keep the building clean, functional, and enjoyable for everyone:
- Use equipment, furnishings, and facilities only for their intended purposes
- Do not damage, deface, or remove property belonging to the Dayton Convention Center or event organizers
- Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco products are permitted only in designated outdoor areas
Prohibited Conduct
The following actions may result in removal from the premises:
- Disorderly, disruptive, or unsafe behavior
- Theft, vandalism, or tampering with facility systems
- Unauthorized access to restricted areas
- Violations of event-specific rules or local, state, or federal laws
Photography & Recording
Some events may restrict photography, video recording, or live streaming. Guests must comply with all posted or announced policies.
Alcohol & Controlled Substances
- Alcohol may only be consumed in designated areas and must be purchased through authorized vendors
- Guests who appear intoxicated or impaired may be denied entry or removed for safety reasons
Animals
Only service animals trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities are permitted inside the facility. Emotional support animals are not allowed unless approved by event organizers.
Enforcement
The Dayton Convention Center reserves the right to:
- Remove any individual who violates this Code of Conduct
- Deny re-entry or future access to the facility
- Involve law enforcement when necessary

Bag Size Policy
- Bags may be no larger than 12" x 12" x 6".
- Oversized bags, backpacks, and non-compliant items may be denied entry.
- Exceptions may be made for medical or child-care needs, subject to inspection.
Weapons & Prohibited Items Policy
To help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and event participants, the Dayton Convention Center enforces a No Weapons Policy. All persons, bags, and belongings entering the facility are subject to inspection.
Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited inside the Dayton Convention Center. This list is not limited to, and additional items may be restricted at the discretion of DCC Management or Security.
Firearms & Weapons
- Firearms of any kind (including handguns, rifles, shotguns, and ghost guns)
- BB guns, pellet guns, airsoft guns, and paintball guns
- Tasers, stun guns, and other electric shock devices
- Explosives, fireworks, or incendiary devices
- Ammunition and firearm accessories (including magazines and loose rounds)
Bladed & Impact Weapons
- Knives with blades longer than 3 inches
- Switchblades, daggers, dirks, swords, machetes, and throwing stars
- Batons, nightsticks, clubs, saps, or similar impact weapons
- Brass knuckles or knuckle weapons
Chemical & Dangerous Devices
- Pepper spray, mace, or chemical irritants exceeding personal-size canisters
- Tear gas or other chemical agents
- Hazardous materials or substances that could pose a safety risk
Other Prohibited Items
- Replica, toy, or imitation weapons that could reasonably be mistaken for a real weapon and must be inspected by security staff prior to entering event
- Any item deemed dangerous, disruptive, or inappropriate by Dayton Convention Center staff or Security
Enforcement
- All guests must comply with this policy as a condition of entry.
- Items found in violation of this policy must be removed from the premises or surrendered to security.
- Guests who refuse to comply may be denied entry or asked to leave.
- Law enforcement may be notified when appropriate.
Exceptions
- On-duty law enforcement officers acting in an official capacity
- Authorized security personnel
All exceptions must be coordinated in advance of the event.
Event Host Responsibility
Event organizers are responsible for:
- Communicating this policy, including bag size limits, to their attendees, exhibitors, and contractors
- Ensuring compliance during their event
- Coordinating any special requests with their DCC Event Manager prior to load-in
